1. Social Media Video Editor Role Description
- Edit high-volume UGC (user-generated content) videos from student ambassadors across Nigerian university campuses.
- Transform raw interview footage into engaging, platform-optimized social media content for 2sabi’s Instagram, TikTok, and other channels.
Responsibilities
- Edit 6-8 short-form videos daily (30-90 seconds each)
- Isolate and clean audio from raw footage
- Add subtle background music that enhances without overpowering
- Create accurate, readable captions/subtitles for all videos
- Optimize videos for different social media platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Stories)
- Ensure consistent brand aesthetic across all content
- Deliver edited videos within agreed turnaround time (same-day or next-day)
- Incorporate feedback and make revisions quickly when needed
- Maintain organized file management system for raw and edited footage
- Stay current with social media video trends and editing styles
Requirements
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
- Strong audio editing and cleanup skills
- Experience with caption/subtitle creation and editing
- Portfolio demonstrating short-form social media content (UGC style preferred)
- Ability to work independently and meet daily output targets
- Fast, efficient workflow – can edit 30-90 second video in 20-30 minutes
- Understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and social media content trends
- Reliable internet connection and power backup solution
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience editing high-volume content
- Understanding of what makes videos go viral on social platforms
- Experience working with remote teams
- Knowledge of Nigerian youth culture and trends
Editing Style

Compensation
- ₦100,000 monthly base salary
- Performance bonuses based on video virality.
