This scholarship is designed to ensure that qualified law graduates facing financial hardship can successfully attend the Nigerian Law School and ultimately be called to the Nigerian Bar.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Be a final-year law student or a recent LLB graduate from a recognised Nigerian university
  • Be eligible for admission into the Nigerian Law School for the upcoming academic session (e.g., 2026 cohort)
  • Possess a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) degree
  • Demonstrate financial need, supported by relevant documentation
  • Participation in extracurricular activities, leadership roles, or community service is an added advantage but not mandatory

This scholarship specifically targets law students who may otherwise be unable to afford Law School tuition due to financial constraints.

 

Required Documents

Applicants should be prepared to submit the following documents:

  • Completed scholarship application form
  • Academic transcript showing final results
  • Personal statement or statement of purpose
  • At least one letter of recommendation
  • Character reference letter (from a community leader, mentor, or reputable authority)
